Yahoo Advertising, Yahoo Australia, and Yahoo Southeast Asia have all said that they are putting together a new team of managers for their AdTech division. This comes after the departure of Paul Sigaloff, the former VP Head of APAC, who joined Oh! Media this week, and Rachel Page, the General Manager of Sales ANZ, who joined Seven West Media. John McNerney, who has been with Yahoo for 13 years and most recently served as the Senior Director of Platforms for APAC, will now serve as the Managing Director for Australia and Southeast Asia. According to McNerney, the Yahoo team in the area has increased its consulting and teaching over the last few years.
He went on to say that he was excited to lead the group as they built on their strong foundation of reliable partnerships and cutting-edge technology to make Yahoo advertising in the area more innovative and grow. A new Head of Platforms and a new Head of Sales for ANZ have also been added to the new management team. He also said that this change makes sense for their work and will give the team more time to focus on helping partners get more out of their marketing budgets. In order to help clients better utilize Yahoo’s omnichannel technology solutions, Andrew Gilbert has been promoted to Director of Platforms, leading DSP strategy across the region.

Matt Farrington, who is the APAC Head of Partnerships and Investment, will keep building regional and local partnerships by working closely with the commercial and platform delivery teams. With John McNerney in charge, the new Yahoo Advertising team will have a more focused approach in the area, according to Elizabeth Herbst-Brady, Chief Revenue Officer at Yahoo. She was excited about how Yahoo could attract high-quality partners from all over the world. John McNerney thanked Paul Sigaloff and Rachel Page in particular for all the help and advice they had given him over the years. He said that the fact that they left showed what a great culture and team they helped build while they worked there. McNerney was also excited about the mission to bring the magic of Yahoo to their partners in the future.
