In a world where the pursuit of natural and sustainable living is more than a trend, it’s a lifestyle, Marketing In Asia (M.I.A), had the unique opportunity to dive into the heart of one of the most innovative players in the beauty and personal care industry – Nat Habit. Through a candid and enlightening conversation with Swagatika Das, Co-Founder of Nat Habit, along with insights from their latest press release, I bring you an inside look at a brand that’s redefining the norms of natural care with its fresh, daily-made products and visionary growth strategies.

Join me on this explorative journey as we peel back the layers of Nat Habit’s ethos, from their artisanal production methods to their ambitious plans for future expansion and community engagement. Discover how this trailblazing brand is not just keeping up with the times but setting new standards for what it truly means to provide “Truly 100% Natural” care in today’s dynamic landscape.

In the Dynamic Landscape of Beauty and Personal Care, How Does Nat Habit Differentiate Itself from Competitors?

“It is true that the natural personal care space is cluttered and everybody claims to be natural. But what sets us apart as “Truly 100% Natural” is our ability to prepare fresh products on a daily basis in our own ayurvedic kitchen,” Swagatika Das passionately explains. She elaborates on how Nat Habit’s commitment goes beyond just using natural ingredients; it’s about a holistic approach that encompasses proprietary techniques, daily fresh production, and innovative formulations developed in-house. “Our patented processes and our very own developed machinery are testaments to our dedication to providing what we promise — unmatched freshness and purity.”

Leveraging Recent Series B Funding for 4X+ Growth

“With the recent infusion of $10.2 million in Series B funding, Nat Habit is poised for an ambitious growth trajectory in the upcoming months,” shares Das with palpable excitement. She outlines an expansive vision where the funds will be strategically deployed to break new ground in product innovation, market expansion, and brand visibility. “Research & development will focus on innovative formulations such as a 100% natural hair color, shampoo, deodorant amongst many others. In terms of expanding market presence, we’ll be enhancing brand awareness via mainline marketing and creating further availability via offline retail,” Das asserts. She hints at groundbreaking product lines and innovations that will redefine market standards and elevate consumer expectations.

Building a Stronger Community

Our community is the heartbeat of our brand, Das states emphatically. “We are deeply committed to fostering a robust community through transparent communication, educational initiatives, and active engagement.” She explains how Nat Habit doesn’t just listen to its community; it integrates their feedback and desires into the very fabric of its product development and brand strategies. “A single product launch /development cycle touches 500-1000 consumers in discussions, surveys, trials and engagement. That’s the level of consumer integration we have in our actions as a brand.”

Strategic Funding Allocation for Long-term Vision

Discussing the strategic allocation of $2 million from the recent funding to facilitate exits for early-stage investors, Das reflects, “This decision is to strengthen our commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive investor ecosystem.” She emphasizes that such decisions underscore the brand’s commitment to ethical growth, stakeholder value, and maintaining a balance between innovation and responsibility. “The vision is to build a profitable sustainable brand that fosters value for all stakeholders and provides ample opportunities for investors to invest and/or exit.”

Navigating Sourcing Challenges with Daily Production

Das addresses the challenges and intricacies of ensuring the freshness of ingredients in their daily production model. “Efficient supply chain management further streamlines the movement of ingredients, minimizing lead times and preventing spoilage. Nat Habit’s continuous commitment to quality control, testing, and inspection reinforces its pledge to 100% natural care, ensuring that each product meets the brand’s high standards before reaching consumers,” she admits. However, she confidently adds, our partnerships with farmers and suppliers are not just transactions; they are relationships built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to quality. This meticulous approach ensures that every Nat Habit product is a beacon of freshness and efficacy.

Maintaining Freshness in Offline Channels

As Nat Habit makes strides into offline retail channels, the challenge of preserving the brand’s core essence of freshness and natural care in a traditional retail setting becomes increasingly significant. Swagatika Das explains the brand’s approach: “Nat Habit’s entry into offline channels involves careful strategies to maintain its essence and commitment to freshness. This includes efficient inventory management, creating a consistent in-store experience, potential localized production, educational initiatives, and upholding stringent quality assurance standards.” This expansion is not just about increasing reach; it’s about ensuring that the freshness and natural care that Nat Habit is known for remain intact, providing customers with the same quality and efficacy they have come to expect, no matter where they purchase the products.

Expanding Horizons: Reaching Tier 3 Cities and Beyond

Nat Habit is setting its sights beyond the metropolitan allure of Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, aiming to make an impactful entry into Tier 3 regions and further. Swagatika Das elaborates on this strategy, “Nat Habit’s success in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities propels our expansion into Tier 3 cities and beyond.” She acknowledges the unique challenges that come with such expansion, including affordability and logistical complexities. However, the brand is determined to overcome these through strategic investments in logistics, tailored distribution solutions, and local partnerships. The goal is to make natural, fresh, and quality personal care accessible and relatable to a wider audience, ensuring that the brand’s ethos of natural care and community building is felt across different demographics and geographies.

A Glimpse into the Future

As Nat Habit looks to the future, it does so with a blend of optimism and realism. The journey ahead is acknowledged to be challenging, but the resolve to stay true to the vision of bringing natural care to the forefront is unwavering. The brand envisions a world where its commitment to fresh, daily-made, and natural products isn’t just an option but a norm for consumers everywhere. Under the leadership of Swagatika Das, Nat Habit isn’t merely growing; it’s aspiring to lead a shift in lifestyle and consumer choices, advocating for a future where natural personal care is an integral part of everyone’s daily regime.

Nat Habit, steered by the visionary Swagatika Das, is more than a brand; it’s a harbinger of change in the beauty and personal care industry. With its innovative approach to production, deep-rooted community engagement, and bold expansion plans, Nat Habit is on a mission to redefine what it means to provide natural, fresh, and quality personal care. Stay tuned with M.I.A for continued coverage on brands like Nat Habit, which are not just keeping pace with change but are actively catalyzing it.
