Empowering Journey Across the Malaysian Peninsula
In a noteworthy homage to the approaching Violence Against Women and Girls month this November, the Practical Classic Drivers (PCD) are set to launch “Rentas Peninsular 2.0: We for She.” This benevolent venture isn’t just about raising funds and awareness for the esteemed Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO). It is also a poignant reminder of the criticality of male involvement in the ongoing fight against gender-based violence.
A Tribute to Four Decades of Resilience
The Women’s Aid Organisation is no stranger to advocacy. For over 40 years, WAO has steadfastly championed the cause of women and girls ensnared by domestic abuse. Through collaboration with the Malaysian government, WAO’s indefatigable case management and advocacy teams persist in their mission to reshape laws and forge a safer haven for Malaysia’s women and girls.
An Endeavour that Drives Change
Led by the Practical Classic Driver—a cohort of altruistic car aficionados with a heart for charitable endeavors—Rentas Peninsular 2.0: We for She builds upon the legacy of their prior successful charitable drives. This time, in a compassionate partnership with the Women’s Aid Organisation, the drive is expected to harness funds that directly resonate with survivors of domestic abuse, nudging the societal pendulum towards meaningful change.
Commencing from Klang Valley on 16th November, this drive isn’t just about traversing the Malaysian terrains of Segamat, Muazam Pahang, Kuala Terengganu, and Kuala Perlis. It symbolizes a much profound journey—a collective quest of men advocating for gender parity and the cessation of violence against women.

Beyond Wheels: A Journey of Solidarity and Understanding
The event, however, transcends a mere automotive expedition. It is an endeavor to kindle camaraderie, to deepen understanding of WAO’s objectives, and to enlighten the masses about the indispensable role of male allies in thwarting gender-based violence. It beckons male supporters to unite for gender equality, broadcasting a harmonious narrative of unity.
Members of the media have the privilege to chronicle this journey, capturing its ethos and amplifying its voice through multifarious channels. The PCD and WAO extend an open invitation to potential sponsors, beckoning them to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with male advocates in championing the safety and rights of women.
Joining Forces for a Future Free from Violence
Marking WAO’s 40th milestone in 2023, Rentas Peninsular 2.0: We for She is not just an event—it’s a clarion call. A call for men to step forward, to join the movement, and to collectively envision a future devoid of gender violence.
