Singapore-based Octagon, a significant player in the sports and entertainment industry and a subsidiary of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), has recently announced a series of leadership promotions within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. These strategic moves aim to further Octagon’s expansion in the APAC market, a region expected to host numerous large-scale sporting events, including the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Louise Ferguson and David Gregory, two of Octagon’s pivotal personnel, have been elevated to the positions of co-agency leads. In addition to her co-agency lead role, Ferguson has been appointed head of client services for Australia and Southeast Asia. On the other hand, Gregory, alongside his co-agency lead responsibilities, is named the head of sponsorship strategy for Australia and APAC.

Octagon also widened Jung Jee’s scope of responsibilities. Jee is now the managing director for North and East Asia, an expansion from his current position as the managing director for South Korea. This promotion entails additional oversight of Octagon’s client efforts and operations in the Japan office.
Moreover, Naveen Vohra has been announced as the head of people and culture for Octagon APAC. Vohra’s new role includes overseeing recruitment processes, talent development, DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs, and fostering a supportive internal culture across Octagon in the APAC region.
Joanne Warnes, the managing director for APAC at Octagon, underlined the timing of these promotions as the region prepares for a period of immense growth and activity. She said, “The move to elevate Louise, David, and Jung, as well as hire Naveen, to senior leadership positions in the agency comes at a time of tremendous growth and activity in the region. Our clients are looking for guidance and strategy as they capitalize on the upcoming global sports and cultural events in the market.”
Warnes commended the efforts and insights that Ferguson, Gregory, and Jung have contributed over the years. She also recognized Vohra as a proven People and Culture leader who would enhance the agency’s internal and external employee platforms. She emphasized, “Under this group’s collective leadership, Octagon will continue to deliver first-class and award-winning campaigns for our clients, and provide our team members meaningful programs and work environments across Australia and Asia.”
