This Mother’s Day, McDonald’s Philippines painted a touching tribute to mothers with a compelling short film, resonating the love and dedication we continuously receive from them. The film, “Kami naman, Ma,” poignantly conveys the message of reciprocating the care and concern our parents showered on us, now as adults.
The emotive film opens with a daughter meticulously checking her mother’s packed bags for travel, only to find out she missed her senior citizen ID. As her mother’s friends arrive for the trip, the daughter hands her a bag of McDonald’s, reminding her to stay safe and careful while taking selfies. The mother playfully responds, “Yes, mummy”.
The film wraps up with a tender flashback, showing the elderly mother sending her young daughter off to field trips, signifying the passage of time.
In just four days, the film has touched more than 4.62 million viewers, many of whom were moved to tears, reminding them of their own mothers.
