Leading live, virtual, and hybrid events platform Hubilo has entered into a partnership agreement with V-Cube Malaysia (VMY), a renowned business communication provider in Malaysia specialising in virtual secure annual general meetings (AGM), e-voting, conferences and learning management systems (LMS).
Under the said partnership, VMY will leverage Hubilo’s capabilities to digitally transform their secure meetings offerings in Malaysia. VMY will have access to Hubilo’s full world-class suite of interactive, live, virtual, and hybrid conference engagement tools and immersive experiences, bundled with VMY’s local expertise in project management and on-the-ground support services.
Prior to the pandemic, the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) projected that the country’s business events’ contribution to the gross national income would reach RM3.9 billion in 2020. The Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (MACEOS) also projected that the MICE business in 2020 would amount to RM2.5 billion. Unfortunately, these targets were not achieved.
However, two years since the onset of the pandemic, a rosy outlook on the industry is projected for 2022, as restrictions ease and borders reopen. Hybrid and virtual events also continue to rise and are embraced by players in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry as well as corporations. Key pull factors such as cost and changing health and safety protocols due to the fluid situation, make hybrid and virtual events the format of choice for many event organisers.
Dato’ Loh Yuen Tuck, CEO, V-Cube Malaysia, shared: “The pandemic/endemic situation remains unpredictable despite plans for opening up borders. However, for many event organisers, planning a successful event must continue regardless. Organisers can, therefore, use hybrid formats to combine the best of both worlds while ensuring engagement remains paramount. Business continuity and immersive user experience are assured through a digital platform like Hubilo that is easy to use and super-rich in engagement tools.”
“We are excited to have Hubilo onboard as our partner in the live, virtual and hybrid events space in Malaysia, as this will allow us to transform into a full, multi-channel, one-stop centre for all forms of enterprise digital experiences. Together, we will be able to capitalise on the main areas of demand, help the events industry and businesses weather the ever-changing landscape. Moreover, we see great potential for companies to leverage Hubilo as a community engagement platform to do hybrid presentations/shows/launches on the fly and pivot as a 24/7 live interactive community engagement platform leading to better networking, higher productivity, brand building, and more omnichannel revenue drivers.”
Greg Volm, Senior Vice President, Sales & Success, Hubilo, said: “As Hubilo continues to expand its global footprint, we see Malaysia as another important and exciting opportunity for further growth in the virtual and hybrid event space in the Asia Pacific. We are thrilled to be partnering with a leading domestic player like VMY to deliver innovative, immersive, and engaging events on our platform, and build stronger communities with this partnership.”
Designed as a hybrid and virtual event platform to foster human connections, the platform offers the industry’s most comprehensive suite of engagement and gamification features, enterprise security, integrations, and data analytics. These features make Hubilo the ultimate solution for keeping guests engaged in sessions and with each other, measuring and optimising event outcomes and creating immersive experiences.
Hubilo is no stranger to Malaysia’s events scene – most notably amongst its roster of clients is the MDEC Malaysia Tech Conference 2021, a virtual, month-long curation of digital and technology keynotes, workshops, discussion panels, and business-matching sessions.
