#1 Talentedge Acquired by UpGrad – Dec 6, 2021

Gurgaon-based Talentedge offers more than 60 courses in partnership with 20+ universities. Talentedge partners with top Indian & International institutes including IIMs, XLRI, MICA, eCornell, UCLA extension among others, and has more than 5,00,000 individual and corporate learners. Talentedge was acquired by UpGrad on Dec 6, 2021, for around Rs 350-400 crore.

#2 Teachmore Acquired by Teachmint – Dec 14, 2021

Teachmint, an education infrastructure startup and the creator of India’s largest teaching platform announced the acquisition of Teachmore on Dec 14, 2021. Teachmore is a course-selling platform that enables teachers to sell educational products like online courses, live classes, quizzes and more through their apps and websites.

#3 Edureka Acquired by Veranda Learning – Sep 23, 2021

Kalpathi AGS Group-owned Veranda Learning Solutions has acquired edtech company Edureka for Rs 245 crore. Edureka is best known for pioneering live online classes based upskilling programs for working professionals.

Bengaluru based edtech company BYJU’S has acquired Great Learning for $600 million. Great Learning is an online professional and higher education firm in about 160 countries. India is its largest market.

#5 Gradeup Acquired by BYJU’S – Jul 13, 2021

Bengaluru headquartered edtech platform Byju’s had formally announced the acquisition of the online exam preparation platform Gradeup, marking its eighth acquisition for 2021. Gradeup will be rebranded as Byju’s Exam Prep and will cater to students preparing for over 150 entrance exams across 25 exam categories covering government jobs and postgraduate entrance exams such as IAS, GATE, CAT, Bank PO/Clerk, Defence, and UGC-NET.

Online education platform Byju’s has acquired Toppr, which provides online courses for school students. Toppr helps students prepare for various school, board, and competitive exams. Zishaan Hayath and Hemanth Goteti founded the edtech platform Toppr in 2013.
