Within five years of its inception, SCIKEY operates in six countries, have a workforce of more than 400 and expanding in several more countries. To reach this stage, the founders of SCIKEY had to pass through several challenges. It is a story of ordinary people who fought against all odds and came out winners. It was early 2016. Alok had finished his morning round of Golf. Over few months, his interest in golfing was increasing in the same proportion as his interest reduced in his office affairs. Seven years earlier, he started Sears India that employed more than 2000 employees now. Being the first employee and the Managing Director of the company, He was one of the best paid executive, but his mind was not on what he earned, but the feeling of incompleteness. His job had become repetitive and constant change at his head office impacted his decision making.
A lot had been changing ever since new set of leaders took over in USA in his company. They brought different set of people who wanted to change things very fast; even at the cost of good things already happening. Almost every change resulted in staff reduction. Alok was not only unhappy, he was equally confused.
