- Evacuation Underway: Dr Nurul Ain Latif, a Malaysian married to a Palestinian, is being evacuated from the West Bank, showcasing the Foreign Ministry’s commitment to its citizens abroad.
- Safety First: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir has given assurances that Dr Nurul Ain is in a safe haven amidst the chaos.
- United Front: In a commendable act of regional cooperation, the Philippine Embassy is aiding the evacuation, which also encompasses eight Indonesians in the area.
- Other Nationals Monitored: Beyond Dr Nurul Ain, four other Malaysians, a mother and her trio of children, are known to be in the West Bank. Their safety is being closely monitored.

Foreign Minister Zambry, in his address to the Dewan Rakyat, didn’t mince words. He voiced Malaysia’s profound concerns over the mounting casualties in Palestine and condemned the actions of the Zionist regime, which has curtailed essential supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.

Zambry also spotlighted the glaring inconsistencies in international responses. He contrasted the swift support for Kiev during the Ukraine crisis with the apparent neglect of the Palestinians’ dire situation. This, he emphasized, challenges the very essence of fair enforcement of global principles and norms.
In a heartening move, Zambry revealed that Malaysia would be channeling aid from the AAKRP to mitigate the sufferings of the Palestinians. This contribution, symbolizing the Malaysian populace’s empathy, will be handed over to the Palestinian Ambassador in Malaysia, Walid Abu Ali.
For Malaysians moved by the plight of the Palestinians and wishing to contribute, they can direct their donations to the AAKRP account, managed by the Foreign Ministry.
