KC Global Media Asia Unveils New Distribution Arm to Amplify Premium Content Across the Globe

Singapore, 5 December 2024 – Asia’s leading entertainment powerhouse, KC Global Media Asia, has announced the launch of KC Global Media Distribution, a new strategic arm designed to elevate the company’s content sales and distribution efforts across the globe. With a primary base in Los Angeles and regional offices spanning Singapore, Taipei, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and Beijing, this expansion solidifies KC Global Media’s position as a key player in delivering exceptional entertainment to audiences worldwide.

The new division, led by Bonnie Wiryani, Vice President of Revenue & Head of Content Sales, officially debuted today at the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF), presenting a diverse range of premium content, including the highly anticipated Taiwanese remake of the Korean drama Top Star U Back, titled Breeze By The Sea. With a focus on culturally relevant and globally appealing content, KC Global Media Distribution aims to create meaningful partnerships and foster creative storytelling for a broader international audience.

George Chien, Co-Founder, CEO, and President of KC Global Media, shared his excitement about the initiative: “By establishing KC Global Media Distribution, the organization is taking an important step in bringing high-quality content to a wider audience. This initiative aligns with our vision of empowering diverse voices and fostering partnerships that break barriers, connecting our content partners with viewers worldwide through universally engaging stories.”

A Diverse Slate of Content to Lead the Charge

KC Global Media Distribution’s debut project is Breeze By The Sea, a compelling 18-episode Taiwanese drama set in the scenic coastal town of Kinmen Island. The series, which stars Chen Bo Lin and Puff Kuo from Taiwan, alongside Hong Hui Fang and Fann Wong from Singapore, is directed by Peter Ho. The rich narrative follows the intertwined lives of diverse characters as they face personal challenges and navigate collective dreams.

Premiering on AXN Taiwan on 14 December 2024, Breeze By The Sea will also be available for streaming in over 170 countries via Rakuten Viki and in 16 markets through Viu. The show’s international accessibility is a testament to the reach of KC Global Media Distribution and its commitment to showcasing high-quality, cross-cultural content.

Partnerships with Leading Production Companies

KC Global Media Distribution is also joining forces with esteemed production companies, including Mocha Chai Laboratories, known for its award-winning film Wonderland (Palm Springs International Film Festival 2024), and Empire of Arkadia, led by industry veteran Fotini Paraskakis, recognized for immersive storytelling and bold narratives. Additionally, collaborations with Monochromatic Pictures will expand the reach of high-quality drama series and documentaries tailored for regional and global audiences.

This expansion into distribution complements KC Global Media’s long-standing reputation for curating iconic entertainment through its renowned brands, such as AXN, Animax, ONE, GEM, and the FAST channel KCM.
