Philanthropy Enters a New Era
The Top Ten Charity Campaign has expanded its reach this year to include Sabah, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Carlsberg Malaysia is demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability and high-quality education with this action.

It is a testament to the power of collective action and underscores our shared dedication to fostering positive educational change. Promoting Environmental Awareness
Taking a step further in its mission, Carlsberg Malaysia joined forces with Zero Waste Malaysia (ZWM) to enlighten students about waste management, aiming to cultivate a cleaner, more sustainable environment in schools. This partnership reflects the brewery’s commitment to sustainability and its innovative approach to community engagement.
“We constantly pursue perfection in brewing, and strive to innovate in our way of engaging with our communities by expanding and elevating the Top Ten campaign,” Clini elaborated. “Through this initiative, we aim to empower local communities through education and raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability. We strongly believe that with education and awareness, we can create a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible future generation, one that is built on a foundation of sustainable practices and responsible stewardship of the environment.”
Unprecedented Success Stories
This year’s campaign saw remarkable achievements, including a record-breaking RM7.8 million raised by SJKC Sin Ya in Penang, setting a new benchmark for single charity concert proceeds in the campaign’s history. Additionally, two schools in Sabah collectively raised RM1.8 million, showcasing the strength of community support.
“Top Ten is an exceptional platform that has succeeded in bringing together compassionate individuals to make a significant impact on education. It provided us with much-needed support and resources throughout the fundraising activities. It has also gone a step further by inspiring students to become aware of the importance of environmental protection and our teachers to instil environmental consciousness in their teaching,” Beh Khoon Seng, Principal of SJKC Sin Ya, Penang, remarked.
A Legacy of Support and Growth
Since its inception in 1987, the Top Ten Charity Campaign has played a pivotal role in the development of vernacular education in Malaysia. Over the past 37 years, it has raised an astounding RM568 million, benefiting 684 schools nationwide. This enduring initiative continues to invite everyone to contribute towards a brighter future for all.
