Canvas8, a global leader in behavioural insights, is set to launch its much-anticipated “Expert Outlook 2024” on 5th October 2023. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this annual report has become an invaluable tool for members, arming them with the knowledge to master the challenges of the upcoming year.

A Deep Dive into Consumer Sentiment and Strategic Planning

Members leverage the Expert Outlook to forecast shifts in consumer sentiment, comprehend macro disruptive forces, and align their strategic initiatives. It serves as a compass, guiding businesses to identify potential threats in their sectors and craft marketing strategies in sync with pivotal cultural, political, and legislative events.

Comprehensive Coverage Across Sectors

The Expert Outlook 2024 encompasses 18 detailed reports and 45 case studies spanning various sectors. It empowers businesses to foresee challenges, grasp evolving consumer behaviour, and devise strategies that resonate with the changing cultural landscape.

Expert Insights from Diverse Fields

Canvas8’s meticulous research methodology involves in-person and telephonic interviews with 48 experts from three core markets. These experts, hailing from fields like economics, geo-politics, and the environment, offer unique and esteemed viewpoints. Canvas8 then refines these insights, highlighting the primary drivers, tensions, and trends poised to shape consumer behaviour in 2024.

Exclusive Launch Events

The initial launch event for Expert Outlook 2024 took place on 26th September. Canvas8 has scheduled two more events, focusing on intriguing topics like ‘Anti-Human’ and ‘Cultural Detachment’. These events, slated for 31st October and 28th November, will feature live streams hosted by Canvas8’s Editorial Director, India Doyle, accompanied by expert panelists.

The “Anchor Us” Theme: A Reflection of Turbulent Times

Recent global events, including AI integration, extreme climatic conditions, political elections, and cyber threats, have ushered in an era of uncertainty. Amidst this chaos, the “Anchor Us” theme emerges, symbolizing the collective yearning for stability and guidance. It encapsulates the human desire for a stable anchor amidst the tumultuous waves of change.

India Doyle of Canvas8 remarked, “Over the last decade we have had to normalise extreme scenarios with increasing frequency. From extreme weather events caused by the climate crisis to surging inflation; from the pandemic to the War in Ukraine, disinformation threats, the mainstreaming of AI and cyber-attacks – feelings of unsettledness are making for a stranger and less comfortable status quo. So, as we look ahead at another year of uncertainty and unease, what do we hold onto? How do we build resilience and surface joy against the odds? Our 2024 theme ‘Anchor Us’ is centred on the need to give people something tangible to attach to in times of seismic change.”

A Glimpse into the Report’s Offerings

The report delves into a central theme and introduces “The 2024 pressure points”, defined as the “8 forces of destabilisation to understand and anticipate next year”. It also presents 30 behavioural insights, a Horizon Planner, 15 sector reports, 3 macro reports, and identifies 45 innovators for 2024.
