In a promising strategic move, Southeast Asian network Lion & Lion has appointed Bilal Khan as its Group Director of Strategy and Media Integration. With this move, Khan will drive the company’s integrated strategy product, establishing crucial connections between data, creative endeavours, media, and social engagement. This cohesive approach aims to provide clients with connected and meaningful brand marketing solutions, shaping a better future for businesses and their customers.
Khan, known for his innovative approach to brand marketing and capacity to spur business growth, is not new to Lion & Lion. He was instrumental in setting up the company’s first strategy department, thereby lifting the bar of strategic thinking within the organization. Between 2019 and 2021, he closely collaborated with creative, social, and media teams, marking a significant contribution to Lion & Lion’s business evolution.
Before rejoining Lion & Lion, Khan had an impactful tenure as the Regional Strategy and Planning Director at McCann Worldgroup. He spearheaded brand strategy for McCann’s creative and dotcom businesses, managed a team of strategists in Singapore, and nurtured their development into well-rounded T-shaped strategists. His prior experience also includes managing connections planning for Starcom on Samsung in the Southeast Asia regions and leading brand experience for Digitas for notable brands like Macallan, Coke, and Mercedes at Publicis Groupe.
As Group Director, Khan will now lead a team of professionals across regional hubs in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. His new role is set to intensify the agency’s growth and integration plans.
