TUMI, the internationally acclaimed travel, lifestyle, and accessories brand, is revolutionizing travel retail with its expanded and refreshed presence at some of Asia’s most significant airports. On May 1, 2024, TUMI unveiled its newest stores at South Korea’s Incheon International Airport and Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. These openings will soon be followed by new stores at Indonesia’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport and India’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, underscoring TUMI’s dedication to delivering sleek and innovative retail experiences.
Positioned in one of the busiest travel retail hubs in Asia-Pacific, the new 50 sqm store at Incheon International Airport in Seoul stands out with a striking architectural façade. Designed by CJ2 and local South Korean studio Design POOM, the nearly 19-feet-tall façade features a distinctive T-icon pattern with raised 3D aluminum panels, enhanced by logo-inspired lighting effects.
Similarly, the TUMI store at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok invites travelers with an elegantly illuminated façade showcasing the iconic T-icon pattern. Both locations offer sophisticated interiors that reflect the brand’s renowned design language, creating a comfortable and intuitive shopping environment for discerning travelers.
Aris Maroulis, Vice President for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East at TUMI, expressed enthusiasm about the new openings, stating, “The latest openings at Incheon International Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport are a testament to TUMI’s ongoing commitment to creating unique and exceptional experiences for our international customers through our high-performance products and stores. With more launches coming soon at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, which are also among the busiest in the region, travel retail will continue to be a key focus through thoughtfully planned and skillfully executed designs that bring customers into our world and speak to the way they travel today.”

Set to open in late May, the store at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta will be situated in the spacious and modern Terminal 3, a prime location frequented by up to 25 million international travelers annually. The Mumbai store at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, scheduled for mid-June, will feature a similarly sleek design in a high-traffic area of India’s second-busiest airport.
With these strategic expansions, TUMI reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the travel retail experience through innovative store designs and a focus on customer engagement, ensuring that travelers across Asia can enjoy the brand’s high-performance luxury products in thoughtfully curated environments.
