The face of marketing is changing or rather evolving, and marketers must stay updated with the emerging marketing trends/shifts. It’s important for brands to stay on top of new technologies and respond to changes in the marketplace accordingly. In this report, Marketing In Asia brings forth marketing shifts that are bound to impact your marketing strategies.

The shifts

  1. Cloud analytics is the way to go. The future of marketing looks extremely bright, and cloud analytics is leading the way. By 2028, the industry is projected to grow by an impressive 20.9% per year for a total CAGR of about 20.9%
  2. Marketing is becoming increasingly automated & smart: Marketing automation may be trending, but statistics say that it’s anything but over. One study found that marketing automations ranked second in effectiveness among the most popular online marketing methods, with a whopping $5.44 return per dollar spent.
  3. Advent of 3Rs in marketing: Re-tool, re-budget & re-skill. There has been a steady increase in the skill gap over time, the obstacle this presents to organisations is significant. 87% of executives from a recent McKinsey survey have said they are experiencing or expect that this issue will present itself in the coming years.
  4. Rise of interactive marketing. Online marketing has been evolving at an unprecedented rate and it’s important for businesses to keep up with these changes. Interactive content is one of the key areas that companies should focus on as this will lead to more engaged site visitors, better conversion rates and overall visibility. The best way to ensure your customers will find what they’re looking for is to invest in state-of-the-art engagement. Creating a seamless experience across channels will give them the high level of customer service that you strive for.
  5. Rise of user-generated content: 90% of customers would rather use reviews from other users than ads or promotional emails. The idea of giving them what they want has led to a growth in user-generated content.
