Are you feeling stressed out and need to vent? Popeyes Singapore has a new solution that can satisfy your cravings and ease your mind. The popular fast-food chain has launched a new campaign called the Chicken Hotline, in collaboration with Happiness Saigon, which allows consumers to exchange their problems for free chicken nuggets.
Introducing the Chicken Hotline Popeyes Singapore is introducing a toll-free hotline where customers can call in and vent their daily life struggles. The initiative is part of a promotion to launch the brand’s new buttermilk chicken nuggets in Singapore. According to a spokesperson from Happiness Saigon, customers can call the hotline 24/7 for the next two weeks to air their grievances. After the call, customers will receive a text message confirming that they can collect a free six-piece box of buttermilk chicken nuggets from Popeyes.
Why Did Popeyes Launch the Chicken Hotline?
“We know people love to vent about life’s little problems. It makes you feel better. With stress levels rising globally and good food being proven to reduce stress, we set up the Popeyes Chicken Hotline. Now when life gives you problems, Popeyes gives you chicken,” said Jazz Tonna, partner, and creative director at Happiness Saigon.
The campaign will be executed on social media, and it comes just months after Popeyes announced its plans to expand across Asia in celebration of its 50th anniversary. With expansion plans in India, China, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka, Singapore and Vietnam were the first Asian markets in which the brand was launched.
Popeyes Asia-Pacific’s Growth Strategy Ben Klitus, general manager of Popeyes APAC, said that the brand’s expansion demonstrates its ability to work with “leading institutional investors who have backed best-in-class local operators. The brand’s regional subsidiaries include Jubilant FoodWorks in India, Restaurant Brands Asia in Indonesia, Silla Co in South Korea, PLK Philippines in the Philippines, Fei Siong Group of Companies in Singapore, and VFBS – a subsidiary of IPPG – in Vietnam.

By offering free chicken nuggets in exchange for sharing problems, Popeyes is tapping into a common behavior and generating buzz around the launch of its new product.
