But as the flow of new creators increases exponentially, monetization and brand deal opportunities are coming in less than ever. Creators are now looking at building digital products and offering subscriptions to their premium content as a solution to create multiple revenue streams.

A recent report by Kalaari Capital released in January 2022 states that India already has close to 80 million creators, including video streamers, influencers, bloggers, physical product creators, and others. However, only 150,000 content creators are able to monetize effectively. That’s less than .19% of creators being able to effectively monetize their audience.

Content creators ranging from 16 years old creators to 65+ years old professionals are taking their passion to the next level. These are creators who have successfully made eight-figure incomes purely from monetizing content through online courses, webinars and subscriptions.

If content creators and influencers want to monetize their following even if they don’t have a large following, they need to build digital products like courses, webinars and subscriptions.

The name Knorish has in it the essence of two words: the ‘knowledge’ & ‘nourish’. Both stand for enhancement, orientation & growth. Likewise, Knorish as an online platform takes utmost pride to promote knowledge in its true spirit ensuring that it reaches everywhere, everyone.

Co-Founders, Kinner N Sacchdev & Rakhi Wadhwa both happen to be avid learners. Since their college days at Newcastle, they aspired to build the world’s most convenient platform for the distribution and monetization of knowledge. So, Rakhi & Kinner set on their entrepreneurial journey back in 2020 and less than 2 years later, the platform enables more than 34,000+ content creators to manage and grow their online coaching businesses, earning their dream incomes. With education and technology geared towards purpose and potential, they are paving a revolutionary roadmap for creators to become the best, most empowered version of themselves. Knorish helps creators build “successful online businesses” using its Knorish Funnel Builder which enables automated sales funnels to grow traffic, get more leads and monetize their content.

The lifecycle of any content creator’s business can be split into four segments — creation, discovery, monetization, and growth. While the first two segments are simpler, the real challenge presents when the creator reaches stage 3 – monetization. Celebrities On Board

In fact, even celebrities with a massive following on social media are now realizing the potential of creating digital products. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, noted author Shobhaa De, music producer Sheykhar Ravjiani and many others have already launched their academies or courses using Knorish. 

Today, Knorish claims to have users across 45 countries, with courses and content on 590 different subjects. Its top five domain subjects are culinary, tech, stock trading, arts, personal growth and many others.

Road Ahead

Knorish has so far raised $1.1 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures in July 2021, with participation from Rockstud Capital, Pentathlon Ventures and Prophetic Ventures syndicate, among others. In an earlier seed round in June 2020, it had raised $323,000 from 100X.VC, Standard Greases Family group and Uday Sodhi, ex-Business Head of Sony Liv. Knorish is currently in the process of closing another round, says Kinner N Sacchdev.

The company plans to democratize content monetization and become the go-to platform for creators to monetize their knowledge & expertise globally. In times when the content monetization trend is at its peak, Knorish is ensuring that content creators, coaches and businesses take full advantage to grow and monetize their content.
