Supermom, the leading AI-driven data company specializing in parental engagement across Southeast Asia, has proudly announced the appointment of Luke Lim as its Group CEO.
Supermom operates across six vibrant markets, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The platform empowers brands with unparalleled access to its extensive network, spanning hundreds of millions of parents’ social connections across major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and encompassing 4800 social communities throughout Southeast Asia.
At its core, Supermom’s innovative tech platform is meticulously designed to address and alleviate the significant challenges faced by brands and marketing agencies today. It achieves this by providing fresh, actionable consumer insights, thereby enabling the formulation of highly effective marketing strategies.
Lim’s journey with Supermom began in 2015 when he came on board as an investor. His entrepreneurial spirit and visionary leadership saw him rise to the position of co-founder alongside Joan in 2019, effectively transforming the company’s original events-centric business model into a robust tech platform. This platform is now renowned for its potent combination of first-party data, insightful analytics, and influential crowd engagement capabilities.
This transformative journey has culminated in Supermom securing a substantial series-A funding round, amounting to SGD $8 million, courtesy of Qualgro and AC Ventures earlier in the year. Lim’s extensive portfolio also includes his role as the founder of Louken Group, one of Singapore’s most prominent local brand and digital agencies, boasting a clientele that spans across 8 markets in the Asia-Pacific region. A fervent supporter of the local start-up ecosystem, Lim has consistently demonstrated his commitment through active investments, in-house incubation initiatives, and his role as co-owner of a venture investing arm.
In his new capacity as Group CEO, Lim will be reporting directly to the Supermom board of directors. He will also be collaborating closely with Joan Ong, the founder of Supermom, as well as Weisheng Neo from Qualgro and Adrian Tan from AC Ventures, ensuring strategic alignment and providing visionary leadership to propel the company forward.
“Combining our twin engines of community growth and AI-technology advancements, Supermom is on course to help brands connect to millions of parents in SEA and I am truly honored to take on the reins as the Group CEO,” Lim shared. “My key area of focus as I take on this role will be on scaling the impact of Supermom’s tech-ecosystem to deliver authentic first-party data, sustainable user-generated content, bringing insights of families to brands operating in Southeast Asia.”
With this pivotal appointment, Supermom is poised to redefine the landscape of parental engagement, driving innovation and connectivity across Southeast Asia’s bustling markets.
