The Makeover Guys, a property solutions company that offers makeover solutions to individuals, has forged a strategic collaboration with modern home decor brand HOOGA. The partnership is set to excite homeowners and the industry alike with a first of its kind collaboration that will offer numerous initiatives that will bring new styles and design themes into the home aesthetics space.

The collaboration is marked by the official launch of the HOOGA x The Makeover Guys (HxTMG) pop-up store in Mid Valley. The store is aimed at providing customers who want to spruce up their home interiors with an avenue to discover both brands’ offerings whilst also perusing new styles and themes. 

Through the HxTMG collaboration, customers will get the best of both worlds when it comes to purchasing the right home decorations and exclusive themes covering makeover & renovation packages for their own homes. Walk-in customers can look forward to getting consultation services with The Makeover Guys for home styling, renovation and space optimisation.

“We’re excited to announce this collaboration as it’s always been our goal to bring accessible home makeover services to all Malaysians. Now through this collaboration, we are entering a new frontier for our brand – the mall and retail space. This makes us even more accessible to a much wider audience. When it comes to renovations and makeovers, we know that people are always concerned about cost, style and quality. Now through this collaboration, even more Malaysians can learn that The Makeover Guys offers the ideal balance of all three qualities when it comes to creating beautiful homes. Today’s announcements are just the start of what we hope is a long and fruitful partnership that will see even more exciting initiatives for customers down the road,” stated Gavin Liew, Chief Executive Officer of The Makeover Guys.

Exclusive Themes to Commemorate the Collaboration – “Sienna Sunday, 50 shades of Chris and Leonardo in Love”

Another exciting initiative to emerge out of the HxTMG collaboration is the introduction of three exclusive makeover themes available for anyone who walks into the pop-up store. Customers will even get to see how these styles would work within actual living spaces with a virtual experience available at the pop-up store. Customers will be able to simply select the desired themes and navigate the virtual experience to check out every inch of a living space with the theme applied. 

“As a trailblazer in the home furnishings segment, we often receive requests from our customers for tips in styling and designing their homes. Now with this collaboration with The Makeover Guys, we can offer our customers this much-requested feature through true industry experts. We are also proud to work together with the The Makeover Guys team to collaboratively breathe new themes, styles and pieces into life,” stated JP Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of HOOGA.

Living Room space from the theme ‘Sienna Sunday’

The first theme Sienna Sunday evokes a calm, cosy, relaxing and quiet peaceful atmosphere where individuals can spend time indulging in their hobbies, be it reading, cooking or crafting. This theme specifically features muted neutrals, earthy tones, rattan and Scandinavian designs. The use of muted neutrals in the overall space gives the feeling of calmness by cutting away colour noises. As for the different fabric textures included, such as the rattan and wood gives some depth and contrast. 

This is followed by the second theme titled 50 shades of Chris which induces a sense of comfort and sophistication. The interior reflects a palette of earthy blues, rustic tones and dark walls that give off power and pleasure vibes. The use of natural elements such as rattan and stronger materials like metal helps create the right balance for this theme. The theme is suited for young couples or single working adults that are feeling ambitious. 

Last but not least, the theme Leonardo in Love combines bits and pieces of the great outdoors that was heavily missed due to the pandemic and the reality of the four walls that people are confined in. As its tagline states “An artist’s hideaway in the heart of town”, The Makeover Guys has designed this theme to make a space that not only nurtures growth and creativity but creates an escape right at home. This theme features a pastel chic palette, geometry & shapes, a hint of gold and statement pieces.
