 Kopi Kenangan’s Singaporean Debut 

Kenangan Coffee, fondly known as “Kopi Kenangan” in its home country of Indonesia, has officially set foot in Singapore. The brand unveiled its inaugural store at the iconic Raffles City Shopping Centre, marking a significant milestone in its journey. The grand opening was graced by the presence of the brand’s visionaries, Edward Tirtanata, Group CEO, and James Prananto, Co-CEO. 

A Journey Beyond Borders 

After marking its presence in Malaysia last year, Kopi Kenangan’s venture into Singapore is a testament to its ambition of conquering the Southeast Asian market and beyond. The brand’s meteoric rise is evident with a staggering 900 stores spread across three nations, including a dominant presence in 67 Indonesian cities and over 20 outlets in Kuala Lumpur. 

Edward Tirtanata, the Group CEO, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Kenangan Coffee is grown, roasted, and served from Indonesia, to the world. We are ardently committed to spreading Indonesia’s rich coffee culture to every corner of the globe. The profound love that Singaporeans have for coffee, from kopitiams to contemporary cafés, inspired Kenangan Coffee’s leap into this vibrant market. The city’s diversity and its global F&B prominence make our expansion here a pivotal milestone, and we are thrilled to introduce our authentic Indonesian coffee flavors to Singapore.”

A Culinary Experience for All 

Kopi Kenangan is not just about coffee; it’s about an experience. Their diverse menu, ranging from classic espresso-based concoctions to non-caffeinated delights, is curated to cater to both Asian palates and international tastes. The Kenangan Latte, one of their signature brews, is a delightful fusion of espresso and Black Aren, a natural sweetener known for its fruity, caramel, and smoky undertones. 

James Prananto, the Co-CEO, encapsulated the brand’s ethos, remarking, “The word ‘Kenangan’ in our brand name aptly translates to ‘making memories’ in Indonesian, and in line with this we welcome all coffee lovers to forge lasting connections through the art of coffee.  From bean to cup, our aim is to consistently deliver high-quality coffee at an accessible price. By employing the highest-grade coffee equipment and adhering to the strictest cultivation and processing standards for raw materials, we aspire to be the most-loved consumer brand in Southeast Asia, and Singapore will be a key foothold in helping us achieve this mission.” 

Commitment to Excellence 

Kopi Kenangan’s dedication goes beyond just serving coffee. The brand has instituted the Kenangan Academy, a platform to provide rigorous training to its baristas, ensuring that every cup served meets the brand’s high standards. This initiative is a reflection of their commitment to quality and their investment in nurturing the future generation of coffee experts.
