Having good, undisturbed sleep is crucial for health and efficiency. After a restless night of tossing and turning, most often than not, people feel lazy, sluggish, and tired throughout the day. Good sleep quality impacts mood, grasping, and concentration power. It also affects our productivity and lowers work quality. However, to address all sleep-related woes, one modern-age startup, Sleepsia, has come up with a unique but effective answer– PILLOWS. Seemingly innocent and often ignored part of sleep accessories that mostly get ignored, pillows play a pivotal role in adjusting a person’s regular sleep cycle. 

What are the problems Sleepsia is addressing?

Long hours of sleep don’t necessarily mean good quality sleep. The quality of rest and sleep is as important as the duration of sleep hours. Quality sleep is crucial for recharging the body, mind, and soul. However, multiple factors hinder a person’s sleep cycle, leading to an improper sleeping routine. 

At present, many people are suffering from chronic sleeping disorders. Factors like illnesses, stress, depression, self-induced sleep deprivation like using cell phones at night, noise, erratic work hours, and unrelenting work schedules plague both old and young. But there is a solution to this problem. Sleepsia, a new-age startup founded in 2018, has confirmed after extensive Research and Development (R&D) that one common thing required for good sleep is adequate pillows. 

If you mistakenly think that a pillow is just a pillow, Sleepsia begs to differ. The brand offers a range of premium-grade and innovative pillows such as memory foam, cervical, contour-shaped, half-moon, lumbar, knee-support, and orthopaedic pillows. Its contour gel memory foam pillows are highly-recommended by physiotherapists for mitigating cervical pain. 

The birth and growth of Sleepsia

The magnum opus of Dheeraj Kapoor, Sleepsia, kicked off with a simple vision and mission to enhance a comfortable sleeping experience for all consumers. The brand aims to redefine the way people across the globe sleep by adding modern technology to elevate the overall sleep experience. Leveraging the untapped Indian sleep market, Sleepsia envisions to change the sleeping habits of Indians and help uplift their emotional and mental well-being. 

Within a few years of its inception, Sleepsia has created significant traction in the international market. They now have a global customer base across India, the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, and Poland. For now, Sleepsia rolls out over 500 orders daily. All Sleepsia products are manufactured in India, and they are available through popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, Wish.com, Wayfair, and Sleepsia’s official website here. 

“We believe in our Prime Minister’s noble mission of “Make in India”. We are establishing our own manufacturing facilities in India. And in the coming years, we will scale up the production capacities at a faster pace. Our main markets are USA, Canada and India. We want to expand our presence in the global market. Being a sleep-tech company, we will invest in strengthening our technological infrastructure says Dheeraj Kapoor”

This global manufacturer-to-consumer brand offers a variety of premium-grade pillows and sleep accessories. Recently, Sleepsia has raised USD 2 million impact funding from its parent company Agile Ventures, a high-octane venture capitalist. With this recently secured funding, the brand plans to expand its customer base in tier-II and tier-III cities, reaching at least 2,50,000 additional consumers. Furthermore, as Sleepsia is already working to reduce time spent on the supply chain by strengthening its production capacities in India, the funding will help the brand meet its short-term and long-term goals.

Sleepsia understands all sleep-related issues

The varieties of pillows offered by Sleepsia serve different purposes. The memory foam pillow has a slow rebound, durable, and hypoallergenic features. It moulds according to the shape of the user’s head and provides comfortable support to the neck. Moreover, the ergonomic designs of these pillows target pain points, relieve pressure, and improve comfort. 

we’re designing innovative pillows and cushions and testing new designs for the best customer experience by using AI for bolstering the supply chain delivery model. As a sleep-tech company, we’re also planning on building innovative smart pillows and cushions to offer better comfort and integration with technology, Kapoor adds.

Alternatively, their ventilation gel-infused foam pillow for cervical pain comes with a temperature-sensitive gel. This pillow uses body heat to stimulate the moulding process, eliminating the heat build-up in the body to create a personalized fit. It is hypoallergenic and ideal for all sleep positions, easy to care for, reliable, and durable. Moreover, it comes with a removable cover. The pillow cradles the head and neck to ensure proper spinal alignment. This prevents neck pain, headache, cervical pain, and shallow sleep. Whatever your pain areas, Sleepsia has the correct pillow for it.

Sleepsia caters to a global clientele and has converted over 2,00,000 people into happy sleepers in the four years of its existence. Within the initial three years, the brand had become profitable by clocking solid and consistent growth. It is projected to cross the INR 7 crore mark this year. Sleepsia’s capped-price tags and international quality pillows ensure that the company continues its upward trajectory in revenue. 

Sleepsia’s grand plans for the future

With big plans to expand the product line by introducing baby, pregnancy, bamboo, and car pillows, this bootstrapped company is moving fast with changing times.
