In last episode, we heard how SRKay got its brand name of SCIKEY and how the leaders emerged out of the tough situation within the organization. We heard, how Alok and his team took the challenge head on when additional funding was not in sight and tried their best to increase the runway of the company. While Karun started getting success with several new customers delivering the onsite and remote talent solutions, Santosh took lead in managing the offshore development centre and scaling that part of the business. Even though funding problem was still not solved, efforts had started lifting up the business again, even though slowly. Santosh was hospitalized due to a serious ailment. The problems were not over, but the team was better prepared now.
First quarter of the fourth year was over. Financially, the books looked bad. The runway was nearing its end and Alok was still not sure on the funds. He needed one time money to close the commitments that they had started to scale up, but had to abandon due to cost control measures. Karun and his sales and marketing team had put its full might to scale up the revenue. They were showing consistent growth while the Offshore business also showed positive outcome. Santosh was still recovering from his surgery, but he remained vigilant and did not allow any new surprises.
This year the summer was more intense. For employees at SRKay, everything was business as usual. Alok ensured that the salaries and benefits of employees were in any case not delayed or compromised. Dhananjay was very cautious in managing funds that enabled him to run monthly payroll without impacting anyone. He was also doing something that would finally solve Alok’s biggest problem.
