Amanda De Silva, a stalwart in the communications industry, has been elevated to the position of Vice President for DHL Asia Pacific, group communications, brand, and sustainability by the global logistics giant, Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group. De Silva’s journey with DHL began in 2011 when she joined as a corporate communications manager for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. In her initial role, she drove regional communications campaigns across various business units, engaging in news development and media relations. De Silva’s impressive achievements led to her promotion to the head of corporate responsibility programs in 2015.
Then, in 2020, she was elevated to head of organizational communications, DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific, and further promoted to head of employee and digital communications, Asia Pacific, in 2022. This role, she held from January 2022 to April 2023, before her latest promotion to vice president.
In her new capacity, De Silva will leverage her extensive 22-year career in communications to establish a powerful regional functional strategy. Besides her 12-year stint at DHL, De Silva’s experience spans across several PR agencies in Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, providing her with a deep understanding of the region’s diverse communications landscape. These experiences will undoubtedly serve her well in her new leadership role.
