SINGAPORE, August 19, 2024 – The Audi quattro Cup, the largest amateur golf tournament in the world, made its return for the 16th edition in Singapore last Thursday. Don Chan and Dennis Peh emerged as winners of the local leg. The event was held at Sentosa Golf Club’s iconic The Serapong course, one of Asia’s premier championship courses.
The distinguished pair, who had previously participated in multiple editions of the tournament, delivered a strong performance last Thursday, surpassing 67 two-player teams to secure the top position in an exhilarating 18-hole event. They will represent Singapore at the Audi quattro Cup World Finals in Muscat, Oman, competing against teams from 33 countries at the esteemed Al Mouj Golf Club from November 15 to 19.
Don Chansaid: “It’s such a surreal experience for us. The Audi quattro Cup is always a special experience – we came here to have fun and didn’t expect anything. But winning is a great way to end the day.”
Dennis Peh added: “Don and I actually reconnected a few weeks ago, after not meeting for a long time. To be paired together unexpectedly, and now winning the tournament, has been both fun and nerve-racking, especially when we were monitoring the final few points!”
