ComplexCon’s Landmark Asian Debut

Complex, the acclaimed cultural and lifestyle brand, has unveiled plans for a historic expansion of its iconic World Fair, ComplexCon. The first-ever ComplexCon Asia Edition, dubbed ComplexCon Hong Kong, is scheduled from 22 to 24 March 2024, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s global outreach.

A Fusion of Art and Urban Culture

This groundbreaking event aligns with Hong Kong Arts Month, promising to enrich the city’s array of world-class events. With an estimated attendance of over 30,000 guests from across Asia and the globe, ComplexCon Hong Kong will take place at the AsiaWorld Expo, just minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport. This initiative not only celebrates global pop culture but also signifies a pivotal cultural tentpole in the international festivities circuit.

ComplexCon: The Festival of Future Pop Culture

Since its inception in Los Angeles in 2016, ComplexCon has been a beacon for the future of pop culture, uniting the most influential brands and artists. Renowned for its expert curation, ComplexCon has seen artistic direction from luminaries like Takashi Murakami, Pharrell Williams, and Verdy. The festival’s impact is evident in its role as a cultural launch pad across fashion, art, music, and technology. Attendees can look forward to exclusive shopping experiences, celebrity encounters, and live performances by top artists.

Unprecedented Support and Collaboration

Backed by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund (Mega ACE Fund) of the HKSAR Government and supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, ComplexCon Hong Kong aims to leverage Hong Kong’s unique position as a cultural bridge between East and West. The event is poised to be a melting pot of influential artists and creative icons from Asia and beyond.

A spokesperson for ComplexCon Hong Kong expressed enthusiasm for the event: “With the global appeal of urban culture, we at ComplexCon have set our eyes on becoming an annual festival that defines where the next things begin for our massive community from around the world. Hong Kong has long been at the heart of the global urban culture scene, whose local artists and entrepreneurs collaborate with the international community, to drive cultural conversations in both the East and the West. We are excited to bring ComplexCon to Hong Kong, marking a unique milestone in this increasingly expansive scope of the global phenomenon of culture convergence by bringing in top designers, creatives artists and talents to gather at this 3-day festival.”
