Kiran found it infuriating that, even in this day and age of the internet, individuals still rely on a phone call home to keep track of their health. It wasn’t enough to just call parents every day and inquire about their well-being. This irritability was heightened when his father underwent surgery and none of his family members in Hyderabad could explain the underlying cause or why surgery was indicated.
