Majority Bans for Child Exploitation and Non-consensual Nudity
From August 26 to September 25, the primary focus of X Corp’s crackdown was on accounts promoting child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity. A massive 557,764 accounts faced the axe for these violations, showcasing the company’s zero-tolerance policy towards such heinous activities.

Combatting Terrorism
A Further Step In its pursuit of a safer platform, X Corp didn’t stop at just the aforementioned issues. An additional 1,675 accounts, found promoting terrorism, were also removed. This aligns with the company’s broader goal of eradicating all forms of harmful content.
Adherence to the New IT Rules of 2021
The new IT Rules of 2021 have set clear mandates for digital platforms with a user base exceeding 5 million. They are required to submit monthly compliance reports, and X Corp’s recent actions are a testament to their commitment to these regulations.
Grievance Redressal in Action
X Corp’s commitment to its users is further highlighted by its grievance redressal mechanisms. During this period, the company received and addressed 3,076 complaints from its Indian users. These ranged from abuse or harassment, hateful conduct, child exploitation, to sensitive adult content.
Account Suspensions
A Closer Look Delving deeper into account management, X Corp reviewed 116 specific grievances related to account suspensions. After a thorough review, 10 accounts saw the light of day with reinstatements, while the rest remain under suspension, indicating the company’s strict stance on violations.
