Independent Brandformance Agency, WiredCo. has partnered with online healthcare platform Updoc, to provide free and unlimited telehealth appointments for every member of the Wired team.
Through the partnership, all Wiredos now have 24/7 access to Australian-based doctors (GPs), with an average wait time of sub 60 minutes from booking to consultation. The initiative also extends to employees’ children up to the age of 18 and is available to all team members including those on working visas.
The move forms part of WiredCo.’s broader WiredWellness program, designed to support both the physical and mental wellbeing of its people and help relieve the cost of living.
Updoc provides on-demand virtual healthcare, enabling employees to access medical advice, prescriptions and referrals without the need for in-person appointments — helping to reduce inconvenience while supporting better health outcomes.
“We make what we do better by putting people first,” said Founder and CEO, Ange Hampton at WiredCo. “That mindset doesn’t stop at the work we deliver — it’s woven into our culture and the way we operate every day. Supporting and looking after our team sits at the centre of who we are, and this partnership with Updoc is another step in ensuring our people have the support they need to thrive.”
WiredWellness was created to ensure the team receive meaningful support across mental and physical wellbeing, while also providing the flexibility to do their best work.
Head of Updoc for Business, Lauren Crawford said the partnership reflects WiredCo.’s commitment to continually evolving its people-first culture.
“The moment you step into WiredCo., you can feel it — high energy, strong culture, and a team that’s clearly wired differently,” Crawford said. “They already offer an extensive range of perks and benefits, so they’d be forgiven for saying, ‘We’ve done enough.’ Instead, it was refreshing to hear Angela speak about always looking for ways to take things up another level.”
“Agency life is famously fast-paced, high-pressure and deadline-driven, so it’s incredibly impressive to see measures being put in place to ensure the team can continue to fire on all cylinders. With that approach, it’s easy to see why WiredCo. is so often recognised on ‘Employer of the Year’ lists.”
General Manager, Client Services and Business Operations at WiredCo., Samantha Nunura has used the service since launching at WiredCo, and comments:
One evening, my son suddenly developed an ear infection. Through Updoc, I was able to secure a doctor’s appointment within 15 minutes. The doctor immediately diagnosed the issue and prescribed medication we could pick up that same night, allowing us to start treatment right away. In a normal situation, my son would have had to endure the pain overnight, and I would have had to take the next morning off to rush around trying to get him seen by a doctor.”
“The fact that Wired has arranged this service for our team and our families is incredibly thoughtful, and yet another example of what it means to be a truly people‑first business.” Added Samantha.
The Updoc partnership builds on a number of existing WiredWellness initiatives, including remote-first working that allows employees to work from anywhere in the world, monthly ReWired events designed to encourage downtime and connection, unlimited mental health leave and support, Parenting Matters leave, and the introduction of Pet-ernity leave — making WiredCo. the first Australian business to offer parental leave for pets.
The agency says the program has played a meaningful role in strengthening team engagement and retention.
“A healthy work environment is key to feeling good and doing great work,” added Ange.
