An intimate afternoon of golf simulator challenges and a fireside chat with up-and-coming golf talent Chen Xingtong and Urs Monstein, VP Bank’s Group CEO, fortifies the bank’s commitment to supporting young talent.
In the run-up to the 6th VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, VP Bank hosted an exclusive and intimate golf experience in Singapore, offering key clients the unique opportunity to interact with Chen Xingtong, a rising talent in professional golf, and Urs Monstein, Group CEO of VP Bank. This unique event combined interactive golf simulator challenges – on a simulated version of the actual tournament course at Golfpark Holzhäusern – with a fireside chat, providing an inspiring and relaxed environment to connect and discuss golf, business and performance.
Exclusive engagement with an up-and-coming talent
As part of its commitment to supporting young talent, VP Bank welcomed Xingtong, who is making waves on the international circuit, to share her journey and insights into professional golf. Xingtong will participate in the 6th VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, part of the Ladies European Tour (LET), at Golfpark Holzhäusern with a tournament wildcard sponsored by VP Bank.
At the event, clients were able to get up close and personal with both Xingtong and VP Bank Group CEO, Urs Monstein, who discussed the common principles of golf and business – resilience, precision and adaptability.
A unique golf experience
Unlike traditional networking events, VP Bank curated an engaging and interactive experience where guests tested their skills in a VR golf simulator that replicated Golfpark Holzhäusern, the official venue of the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open. The experience allowed guests to compete on the very course where top female golfers will play in September. VP Bank’s sponsorship activities reflect its purporse “partnership for progress”. Just as VP Bank understands the needs of its clients, it is also familiar with the challenges faced by the young talents it supports. VP Bank knows that success can only be achieved as a team. For this reason, VP Bank supports ambitious talents and forms a partnership with them.
“Golf is not just a sport — it is a reflection of strategy, precision, and mental resilience, much like wealth management. Through this event, we wanted to create a meaningful and relaxed setting for our clients to experience these parallels firsthand, while also supporting a promising young talent like Xingtong,” said Urs Monstein, Group CEO of VP Bank.
Reto Marx, Co-Head Singapore and Chief Risk Officer Asia added: “At VP Bank, we pride ourselves on delivering exclusive and differentiated client experiences. This event brought our clients into the world of professional golf in a dynamic and interactive way, while supporting the next generation of young athletes like Xingtong on their journey”.
“The VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open has become an important platform for women’s golf and we are proud to be a part of it. This activation in Singapore reflects our belief in creating meaningful connections – between sport, business and our clients,” added Thomas Rupf, Co-Head Singapore and Chief Investment Officer Asia.
