VMLY&R Asia Kicks Off 2019 With Big Wins In Malaysia

Global marketing agency VMLY&R is off to a strong start in Asia this 2019, having recently won clients in the bottled water supply, consumer technology and children’s entertainment sectors in Malaysia.

The first appointment was by Cactus Malaysia, renowned in the bottled water supply market, and known for products like Cactus Natural Mineral Water – a proud 100% Malaysian-born brand that provides all natural, high quality mineral water at exceptional value to customers.

Over the years, Cactus Malaysia has successfully built a connection with their consumers, acting as an informal ambassador of Malaysia, sharing the country’s top events and attractions with locals and tourists alike via the labels on their bottles. In order to continue to stand out in a competitive market, however, they recognised that they needed help to strengthen this unique brand positioning.

VMLY&R Malaysia have thus been appointed to take charge of the company’s social media management. The year-long partnership, effective from January 2019, includes monthly channel management, content assets development, analytics and reporting.

This new partnership is accompanied by another solid win, as VMLY&R Malaysia was also recently appointed Social Media Agency of Record (AOR) by Logitech in Malaysia. Since first establishing in Malaysia in 1996, the provider of personal computer and mobile peripherals has aimed to be a design-led company that puts relationships with its customers first, understanding how its customers use their digital devices to create an even better user experience.

As Social Media AOR for both Malaysia and Singapore, VMLY&R Malaysia is tasked with building Logitech’s social media presence to draw more meaningful engagement from their followers. This involves supporting Logitech’s sale campaigns and promotions across their brands, as well as developing engaging content tailored to each channel. Community management and monthly reporting is also part of the scope of work.

Finally, the agency has also added Mattel to its client roster. Effective February 2019, VMLY&R is tasked with the localization of social media management, media planning and buying, digital strategy and planning, with the objective of strengthening the brand’s overall online presence in Malaysia & Singapore. The scope spans three brands: Barbie, Polly Pocket and Enchantimals.

We are excited to leverage our expertise in delivering a connected consumer experience for brands to support them on their respective journeys in 2019.”
