Twitch has today announced the appointment of Tara Crosby as Sales Director SEA, as part of Twitch’s expansion in the Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific regions. Tara’s hire is a critical part of a wave of new hires in Singapore, to grow the local Twitch community and improve the service for all content creators, media partners, agencies, advertisers, publishers, and developers.
At Twitch, Tara will oversee the sales team based in Singapore, while representing Twitch and the value of its interactive live streaming audience to brands and agencies. She is supported by a sales team consisting of Account Director Lavin Vaswani, Account Director Caroline Simpson and Account Manager Iris Isagure.
“Twitch brings an eclectic mix of entertainment – such as gaming, music, esports and traditional sports – together on a single service, and is a game-changer when it comes to linking brands with their customers through a highly-engaged community from Southeast Asia and beyond,” said Tara Crosby, Sales Director SEA, Twitch. “I look forward to working together with brands looking to make an impact in this diverse and unique region, and helping them to succeed.”
Tara comes to Twitch with 15 years of experience leading advertising sales teams in Australia, UK, Japan and Singapore. Previously, Tara was the Managing Director at UK programmatic platform Crimtan where she held responsibility for 4 offices across the JAPAC region, with sales, trading, client servicing and creative functions under her remit.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tara to Twitch and to continue to expand our footprint in APAC,“ said Steve Ford, Vice President, Sales, APAC. “Asia Pacific is a strategic market for Twitch, with a massive number of gamers, and an even larger online population. Audience preferences are also changing, and they want to play a part in the entertainment they watch – and Twitch is uniquely positioned with a service to provide this experience, not only for creators, but also in the ways brands interact with their audiences.”
