Enhancing convenience and accessibility, Tropicana Metropark has collaborated with e-hailing service provider – Kummute, to provide SouthPlace residents and visitors with transport service. An extension of the Bandar Sunway route, additional stops between SouthPlace Shoppes, Tropicana Metropark, SS15 LRT Station, Subang Parade, and USJ Heights were added to the usual journey. Using an 11-seater Toyota HiAce, this transport service will run on trial until 31 December 2025 between 7am and 8pm daily. At your fingertips, residents and visitors only need to download the Kummute application to place a booking to their desired destination. The Kummute van will be in a fully wrapped Toyota HiAce with the name Tropicana Metropark clearly labelled on its exterior. There will be 100 complimentary rides given every month for Tropicana Metropark’s Mercato customers with a minimum spend of RM40.
Ixora Ang, Managing Director Marketing & Sales and Business Development at Tropicana, said, “Having had a presence in Subang Jaya for over 12 years, Tropicana has invested in the growth and expansion of Tropicana Metropark to a vibrant township that offers work-live-play-learn-shop components. The 656 units of SouthPlace Residences that were recently handed over saw an increase of 2,500 residents, resulting in a total catchment of 26,000 in Tropicana Metropark. SouthPlace Shoppes, located at the base of these high-rise residential developments, also inject further commercial vibrancy into the township. With a steady influx of residents and visitors, collaborating with Kummute to provide an e-hailing service was the next logical step in bringing additional conveniences and accessibility to the community, adding further value to the township.”
