Swiggy, one of India’s leading food delivery services, has launched a new multi-platform campaign called “Match Day Mania” for the ongoing cricket season. The campaign offers unparalleled convenience through quick deliveries of food on match days, with special discounts and offers for its customers. The campaign is being promoted through two witty television commercials (TVCs), with a mock courtroom setting. The ads are available in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu.

The new Swiggy campaign, “Match Day Mania,” is perfectly in tune with the country’s intense love of both food and cricket. The TVCs’ mock courtroom environment
In both TVCs, Neena Gupta plays the judge in a mock courtroom setting. The presence of a judge lends authenticity to the commercials. While the courtroom setting adds a sense of humour and excitement. The TVCs highlight the special deals and discounts that are offered to customers during match times.
The initial TVC
In the opening TVC, the defence attorney receives the prosecutor’s phone and hands it to the client while saying, “Acha offer hai, le lena chahiya” (this is a good offer, you should take it). The judge interrogates them because he thinks the two parties may have reached a covert agreement. But it turns out to be a Swiggy discount offer. Which causes a commotion in the courtroom as everyone checks their phones. The judge then places a Swiggy food order.
The following TVC
The judge informs the defense attorney in the second TVC that there is no chance of having the fine imposed on the accused reduced; “it’s a court order, not a Swiggy order,” the judge reminds him. He replies, “No objection, your honour,” as she goes on to offer him a “Pizza.”
The advertisements’ reach
The TVCs will be broadcast in Telugu, Bengali, Tamil, and Malay. Both TVCs take place in a mock courtroom, with Neena Gupta playing the judge. yalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil. This will increase Swiggy’s exposure and generate buzz for its Match Day Mania campaign.
