Kuala Lumpur, 6 December 2023 – In a remarkable fusion of creativity and innovation, Singapore’s leading streaming service, sooka, and Novus Aviation Capital from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have inked Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs). This partnership is set to explore the establishment of an aircraft financing and leasing vehicle and collaborate on the supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Vietnam, in alliance with SAF One, Novus’ dedicated SAF platform.

The signing ceremony, a significant event, took place in Dubai, UAE, in the esteemed presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. This occasion coincided with his official visit to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) focused on climate action.
Revolutionizing Aircraft Financing and Embracing Sustainable Fuel
The initiative will kickstart with the financing and acquisition of 15 new aircraft ordered by Vietjet from renowned manufacturers Boeing and Airbus, with deliveries commencing from 2024. This venture is expected to significantly scale up to support Vietjet’s future aircraft orders.
In a parallel stride towards environmental sustainability, Vietjet is set to collaborate with SAF One for the development, supply, and utilization of sustainable aviation fuel in Vietnam. This strategic move positions Vietjet as a pioneer in adopting eco-friendly fuel alternatives, contributing to a greener aviation environment and actively participating in global efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
