The world is changing, and messaging is at the heart of this change. SMS, WhatsApp, and chatbot technologies have paved the path for more interesting, rewarding employee experiences. People throughout the world spend more time communicating than almost any other online activity, so this shift is not a coincidence.

Business messaging has gone global, and recruitment teams have heard the message loud and clear: to keep attracting, interacting with, and hiring exceptional candidates, HR teams and recruiters must update their hiring and recruitment procedures in light of the quick shift towards having conversations that matter.

Conversational AI accelerates the hiring process and aids hiring managers in getting candidates to their first day of employment. AI automates procedures that recruiting managers traditionally carry out manually and helps recruiters screen and qualify candidates more quickly.

The lack of time that recruiters frequently have to manage talent pipelines and contact with candidates results in disinterested applicants, application abandonment, and interview no-shows. With mobile-first application features, automated data collecting and sorting capabilities, and straightforward interview scheduling,  businesses may automate processes for recruiters and expedite the hiring funnel for candidates. AI also offers applicants more efficient conversations that eliminate tiresome and redundant application inquiries.

AI’s advantages and how it’s changing the recruiting process

With traditional methods of recruiting, in order to identify the ideal candidate or position, both recruiters and applicants have to go through numerous profiles and job postings. However, artificial intelligence can set a preference for a job search with pertinent job descriptions, and the recruiter or the applicant can use a matching algorithm to take many different factors into account, including hard skills, soft skills, job roles, industries, education, experience, cities, and more.

Using artificial intelligence, recruiters and job seekers can respond to each other more frequently. The largest issues recruiters and candidates are facing are barriers in communication and inefficient processes. We can address this issue by using artificial intelligence tools. AI can help streamline the hiring process by guiding candidates through the application process with real time responses, 24/7. In essence, AI will provide recruiters and job seekers with improved and more efficient processes.

On average, only 5 to 6 applicants are summoned for an interview out of the 300 applications that are typically submitted to a job posting. Recruiters can locate qualified prospects more rapidly with this type of AI-powered technology since the screening procedure looks for a certain keyword in a candidate’s resume. The data of candidates as well as their web presence can be analyzed by several cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. This provides recruiters with a more thorough background on an applicant’s skills. Artificial intelligence-assisted screening will assist recruiters in choosing the most qualified applicant for the post.

Conversational AI can do the bulk of the HR team and administrative tasks. The AI manages tasks and processes that are typically performed manually. The time saved can be used by HR teams to concentrate on higher value, higher priority tasks like engaging new workers, defining goals, and assimilating new hires into the company culture.

Using intelligent applicant evaluations, AI hiring p can expedite the interviewing process with simple interview scheduling. Evaluation of job candidates enabled by artificial intelligence can eliminate interviewer prejudice. The organization will thus hire the best candidate without the influence of biased interviewers. As all candidates will have equal access to opportunities.

Conversational AI can assist employees at every stage of their journey by answering their queries and giving them the information they require at any given time.

In using this technology, businesses can create human-like interactions while alleviating the workload of their recruiting team. Regardless of what AI achieves, it will never be able to replace the human intelligence necessary for hiring judgements. Rather, AI should serve to help recruiters be more productive and learn new skills. Ultimately, artificial intelligence will greatly aid human intelligence. In improving hiring and job search processes, and speed up and streamline the entire process.
