UK firm Pure Data Centers (Pure DC) makes a groundbreaking move with the unveiling of its first hyperscale data center in Jakarta, Indonesia. This announcement came from Chandra Irawan, Director of Indonesian operations at Pure DC, through a LinkedIn post.
Designed to meet global efficiency and availability standards, this facility boasts a 20MW IT load capacity and spans a built-up area of 20,000 square meters. According to Irawan, it’s set to catalyze digital transformation and cloud computing advancements in the region.

The blueprint to construct this data center was unveiled in April 2021, following Pure DC’s partnership with Logos, an APAC-based logistics real estate entity. The facility was initially scheduled to start operations in early 2022, but the completion was delayed by a year.
Logos operates across numerous countries, including Australia, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Korea, and New Zealand. Established in 2015 and supported by Oaktree Capital Management, London-based Pure DC has over 250MW of IT capacity operating or in development worldwide. This news is based on itNews Asia.
