BBDO, a prestigious creative agency, has announced a bolstering of its creative leadership in China with notable appointments, as Leong Wai Foong, the incumbent Chairman and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for Greater China, steps down to follow his passion for music.
Leong’s departure, after a rich tenure since 2006, marks the end of a significant era for BBDO Greater China. Throughout his stint, Leong has made instrumental contributions to the agency, playing a pivotal role in its ascension as one of the top creative agencies. His distinct creative approach has guided the company’s innovative direction, catalyzing BBDO Greater China’s triumphant run.

Prior to his journey with BBDO, Leong brought his expertise to various renowned advertising giants, including DDB Singapore and Leo Burnett Shanghai. On announcing his departure, he acknowledged the privilege of leading the talented BBDO Greater China team. After nearly three decades in advertising, he now eagerly anticipates pursuing his love for music and composition.
In the wake of Leong’s departure, a refreshed leadership lineup is ready to take the helm. Arthur Tsang, the existing CCO of BBDO China, will step into Leong’s shoes as CCO of BBDO Greater China. Subsequently, Nicole Ma, the current CCO at BBDO Shanghai, will take on Tsang’s former role as CCO for China. Lastly, Kevin Jin will ascend from his role as Executive Creative Officer to succeed Ma as the CCO for BBDO Shanghai.
