McHappy Day 2024: Step Up for a Good Cause with Limited-Edition Ronald & Grimace Mismatched Socks

SINGAPORE, 15 October 2024 — Lace up and step into a brighter, more compassionate world this McHappy Day! McDonald’s Singapore is bringing fun and philanthropy together with the launch of limited-edition Ronald & Grimace Mismatched Socks. From today until 31 October 2024, these playful socks, featuring McDonaldland’s beloved characters, are available for just $10 per pair at McDonald’s outlets island-wide, including Drive-Thrus.

With every purchase, you’ll be making a tangible difference as all nett proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Singapore, helping families with seriously ill children. The funds will support the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at the National University Hospital (NUH) and the Institute of Mental Health (IMH).

A Culture of Compassion

“McHappy Day has always been about bringing people together to make a positive impact in the lives of families who need it most. Every sock purchase is more than just a contribution – it’s a way to show compassion and support for families facing challenging times. Together, we can create a culture of care,” shared Benjamin Boh, Managing Director of McDonald’s Singapore.

The Ronald & Grimace Mismatched Socks are available in adult sizes only and boast a quirky charm with their deliberately mismatched design. These socks are perfect for those who want to inject a little personality into their wardrobe while supporting an important cause. Whether you’re stopping by for your favourite McSpicy® or just grabbing a coffee, be sure to grab a pair and wear them with pride!

Supporting Families When It Matters Most

The funds raised will directly aid RMHC Singapore in continuing its vital work of supporting families during long medical journeys. The Ronald McDonald House and Family Rooms provide much-needed respite for parents whose children are being treated in high dependency wards at NUH, allowing them to stay close to their little ones. This family-centred care approach has proven to positively impact both the children and their families, fostering a sense of comfort and security during difficult times.
