Hari ini, hampir semua ide marketing pernah dicoba. Pernah dilakukan. Pernah gagal dan berhasil

Bisa jadi karena, selama ini, Anda bekerja dengan otak kiri. Bukan otak kanan. Menurut “Die Hard Motivator,” Haryo Ardito, kreativitas kerap dikebiri karena kita sudah “terbiasa” hidup dalam realitas, sehingga nyaris tak ada ruang untuk “otak kanan” Anda. Semuanya selalu tentang si “otak kiri.” 

Setiap kali muncul ide yang bagus, yang berbeda, yang luar biasa, otak kiri langsung mengoceh begini dan begitu. Mengkritisi kenapa ide tersebut meragukan, pasti gagal, hingga menyarankan Anda untuk bermain “aman.” Hanya mengeksekusi ide marketing yang “aman-aman” saja.

Pengebirian ide bukan terjadi hanya pada bisnis, tapi keseharian Anda. Sebagai contoh, coba sebutkan 30 hadiah yang kira-kira pantas diberikan bagi teman karib anda. Dalam waktu 30 menit, berapa nama hadiah yang bisa Anda tuliskan? 

Bisa jadi tidak ada. Kenapa? Sebab setiap kali muncul ide hadiah, otak kiri kita mengomentarinya seperti akun gosip. Ada saja yang salah dan dinyinyiri. Ada saja alasan kenapa hadiah itu tidak cocok.

Inilah yang menyebabkan blocking dan macetnya kreativitas Anda. 

Padahal, jika Anda mengizinkan otak kanan Anda mengambil alih tugas tersebut, dia akan mampu menyebutkan lebih dari 30 hadiah. Jangankan 30 menit, bahkan 5 menit pun dia sanggup!

Kenapa? Karena otak kanan adalah “sumber” kreativitas Anda. Dia out of the box, melabrak aturan, pendobrak kelaziman. Biarkan otak kanan Anda bicara. Biarkan ia mengeluarkan semua ide “anehnya.” Tulis semuanya. Buang filter otak kiri Anda. Buang semua penghakiman dini yang biasa anda lakukan. Anda akan terkejut melihat hasil akhirnya!

Hari ini, hampir semua ide marketing pernah dicoba. Pernah dilakukan. Pernah gagal dan berhasil. Jika Anda memikirkan marketing yang kreatif dengan otak kiri Anda, Anda pasti akan frustrasi. Sudah waktunya Anda mengoptimalkan otak kanan untuk menghasilkan sesuatu yang spektakuler!

Selain itu, Industri 4.0 telah mengambil hampir seluruh pekerjaan yang mengandalkan otak kiri. Fase waktu yang sebenarnya telah diprediksi oleh Daniel H. Pink lewat bukunya, “A Whole New Mind.” 

Pink, yang dikenal sebagai penulis buku best seller “Free Agent Nation” dan kolumnis New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, percaya: era otak kiri akan berakhir. Berganti dengan era otak kanan dengan enam kecerdasannya, yaitu: desain, cerita, simponi, empati, permainan dan makna.

Di era konseptual, masih menurut Pink, mereka yang mampu bertahan adalah mereka yang bisa menggunakan otak kanan dengan maksimal. Sebab otak kiri telah digantikan mesin-mesin yang mampu berhitung cepat, sistematis dan logis. 

Kita pun melihat bagaimana para ahli otak kiri telah dapat dikalahkan komputer dan robot. Garry Kasparov, contohnya. Master catur dunia itu harus bertekuk lutut di hadapan komputer super canggih, yang lebih mampu menyusun strategi bermain catur. 

Nah, kini semua terserah anda. Siap berbisnis dengan otak kanan?
