Joel Neoh, founder of Fave, has been appointed as the new managing director of CircleDNA, a division of genomics and precision oncology company Prenetics Global. Alongside, Neoh will also serve as the group’s chief consumer officer, accelerating CircleDNA’s expansion into a premier consumer preventive healthcare platform.
Neoh’s new role is part of Prenetics’ broader mission to transform the preventive healthcare landscape. The company aims to blend consumer health and genetics, adopt advanced technology for early cancer detection, and develop personalized healthcare offerings under the CircleDNA brand.
Neoh was planning an extended vacation post his exit from Fave, but discussions with his long-time friend, Danny Yeung, intrigued him about the mission of Prenetics and CircleDNA. As a result, Neoh postponed his vacation and decided to contribute to this cause. He believes his entrepreneurial experience and support from Southeast Asia will enable him to promote health and preventive care.
Neoh has been engaging with healthcare professionals, doctors, scientists, and healthcare investors to expand his knowledge. He emphasizes the need for a proactive approach in healthcare, focusing on maintaining health before becoming a patient.
Yeung, the CEO of Prenetics, expressed his enthusiasm to work with Neoh in addressing global healthcare challenges. Neoh will oversee global operations and report directly to Yeung, as confirmed by Prenetics.
Prior to his new role, Neoh co-founded Fave, a fintech platform that was acquired by Pine Labs for US$45 million in 2021. He also co-founded Says.com, a social news network in Southeast Asia, and Groupmore, which was acquired by Groupon in 2011.
