A Quirky Journey of Doing Nothing

Over the years, Cadbury 5 Star has become synonymous with taking a break. The brand, in collaboration with Ogilvy, has ingeniously promoted this concept through various innovative campaigns. From hijacking Google Assistant with a ‘Do Nothing Mode’ to riding the crypto wave with ‘Nothingcoin’, and even establishing a ‘Nothing University’ for an AI-dominated future, Cadbury has consistently pushed the boundaries of conventional advertising.

Elevator Escapades: A Tale of Timely Indulgence

The latest addition to this series is the ‘Elevator’ advertisement, a comedic narrative showcasing a man too engrossed in his Cadbury 5 Star to attend to his incessantly ringing phone. Directed by the renowned Prasoon Pandey of Corcoise Films and conceptualized by Ogilvy India, this ad is a testament to the joy of indulgence in the face of life’s relentless pace.

A Sweet Stand Against the Hustle

Nitin Saini, VP- Marketing at Mondelez India, emphasizes that Cadbury 5 Star is all about relishing joy and indulgence. The new TVC aims to recapture the essence of pure indulgence, where even the most pressing interruptions can’t disrupt the bliss of enjoying a 5 Star. It’s a playful nudge to the world, reminding everyone that sometimes, the best action is inaction.

Echoing with the Youth

Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy India, notes the brand’s counter-culture stance has struck a chord with the youth, with each campaign adding to its growing popularity. The latest iteration aims to continue this trend, surprising and entertaining its audience with its unique take on leisure and simplicity.
