In Google Docs, users can now use tabs to organize content within a single document, eliminating the need to juggle multiple files or navigate extensively in Google Drive. The addition of full-bleed cover images will enhance the visual appeal of documents.
Google Sheets has introduced a new tables feature to aid in data organization and introduced templates for various tasks, along with conditional notifications that alert users based on specific data changes.
Google Chat will now include Gemini AI to summarize conversations and handle inquiries, and it supports automatic message translation and can accommodate groups of up to 500,000 members.
Google Meet upgrades include real-time caption translation in 69 languages, covering 4,600 language combinations, and a beta feature called “Take notes for me.”
To further harness AI in meeting and messaging tools, Google is rolling out a new enterprise add-on for $10 per user per month, enhancing capabilities in Chat and Meet.
Additionally, a similar-priced add-on aims to boost security in Google Drive by using AI for file classification and protection, aligning with data loss prevention strategies and supporting new cryptographic technologies.
