Surprisingly, this mode of coping edges out conversing with family, at 28% for Gen Alpha and 21% for Gen Z, and almost equals the figures for seeking solace in friends, which stands at 28% and 32% for the two demographics respectively.

In an era championing equality, gaming stands out as a platform breaking gender barriers. Particularly among the Gen Alpha populace, an impressive 46% of girls embrace gaming as a stress-relief medium, closely tailing their male counterparts, of whom 54% use gaming for the same purpose.

Adding to the growing list of gaming’s advantages, 52% of Gen Alpha and 48% of Gen Z view gaming as an avenue to fortify bonds with friends and family. This insight is particularly significant for parents, the dominant financial decision-makers for these age groups.
