Jabatan Pemasaran perlu memberi penelitian dalam merangka strategi pemasaran sosial agar mesej yang disampaikan dapat membawa kepada haluan yang betul.

Sepanjang menjalani norma baharu ini, kita boleh lihat pelbagai elemen pemasaran sosial yang dilaksanakan secara berterusan daripada pihak kerajaan, badan bukan kerajaan (NGO), termasuklah sektor komersil. Ia antaranya mengingatkan kita agar sentiasa mengambil berat faktor kesihatan dengan mematuhi prosedur operasi standard bagi mencegah penularan wabak Covid-19.

Mesej yang disampaikan melalui pelbagai saluran terhadap bahaya wabak ini juga adalah sebahagian contoh pemasaran sosial atau ‘Social Marketing’. Ia secara dasarnya telahpun bermula seawal era 70an dan dikategorikan oleh Dr Philip Kotler sebagai salah satu strategi pemasaran yang perlu mempunyai etika tersendiri. Ini bermaksud, jabatan pemasaran perlu memberi penelitian dalam merangka strategi pemasaran sosial agar mesej yang disampaikan dapat membawa kepada haluan yang betul.

Walaupun ia telahpun wujud sebelum kemunculan era internet lagi, perkembangan teknologi kini turut meluaskan lagi kepentingannya kepada kebanyakkan organisasi dalam pelbagai sektor industri untuk melaksana dan mengadaptasi strategi ini bagi memperkukuh integriti masyarakat.

Etika Pemasaran Sosial

Pemasaran sosial adalah salah satu displin pemasaran yang pada mulanya dipraktikkan oleh sektor kerajaan dan NGO sebagai kaedah menyebarkan mesej penting melalui kempen-kempen yang tidak berasaskan keuntungan komersil untuk kebaikan masyarakat.

Matlamat utama kempen adalah untuk meningkatkan amalan sosial yang positif kepada masyarakat. Antara contoh kempen pemasaran sosial adalah seperti menggalakkan gaya hidup sihat, membasmi kemiskinan, berhenti merokok, membentras penyalahgunaan dadah, kesedaran memandu secara bahaya atau dibawah pengaruh alkohol, menghindari kanser, menjaga kelestarian alam sekitar dan pelbagai lagi seruan positif untuk kebaikan masyarakat.

Ia seterusnya telah mendapat perhatian daripada sektor komersil untuk turut memainkan peranan dalam menyumbang kepada pembangunan masyarakat. Begitu juga hakikatnya bagi sektor komersil. Strategi pemasaran sosial bukan untuk menjana keuntungan dengan mempromosi produk atau perkhidmatan secara terus, sebaliknya bertujuan mendidik, menyuntik kesedaran dan pengaruh terhadap sesuatu isu sosial yang perlu diberi perhatian. Ia merupakan inisatif daripada keperihatinan sesebuah perniagaan terhadap sesuatu asbab (cause) yang dipilih sebagai tanggungjawab dan komitmen kepada masyarakat.

Oleh itu, terdapat beberapa etika penting yang perlu diberi perhatian dalam menjayakan strategi pemasaran sosial ini. Memastikan elemen yang betul dapat membantu memberi impak positif terhadap kredibiliti organisasi, imej mahupun penjenamaan.

Fokus untuk kepentingan masyarakat. Berbeza dengan tujuan pemasaran komersil yang melaburkan sejumlah kos pemasaran dan promosi untuk menjana keuntungan kewangan (ROI). Fokus pemasaran sosial adalah mengutamakan matlamat pelaburan tersebut dalam memberi impak positif kepada manfaat masyarakat. Ia perlu mempunyai fokus pengisian yang dapat menyuntik pengetahuan, kesedaran serta mencetus tindakan orang ramai untuk terlibat disamping menyokong inisiatif yang diusahakan.

Bina objektif kempen yang telus. Membangunkan strategi pemasaran sosial perlulah mempunyai mesej kempen yang jelas dan telus. Ia tidak seharusnya mempunyai agenda tersembunyi atau kepentingan peribadi. Sebagai contoh, jika matlamat organisasi adalah untuk membantu kelestarian alam sekitar, setiap perlaksanaan kempen pemasaran sosial perlu mempunyai mesej dan aktiviti yang jelas kepada umum. Objektif utama mestilah yang memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat.

Mengurus platform pemasaran komersil. Ia sememangnya melibatkan kos seperti pemasaran komersil. Oleh itu, setiap organisasi yang terlibat perlu memanfaatkan platform dan saluran yang bersesuaian bagi memastikan matlamat kempen tercapai. Sama ada melalui kaedah ‘Above the Line’, Below the Line atau Through the Line’, ia perlu dirangka dan diuruskan sebaiknya agar dapat mencapai kluster audien yang disasarkan dalam masyarakat.

Mengurus komitmen. Setiap inisiatif memerlukan perancangan yang dirangka untuk perlaksanaan jangka panjang yang berkesan. Pengisian kempen pada setiap aktiviti pemasaran dan penglibatan organisasi melalui khidmat nasihat, panduan serta galakan melalui pelbagai aktiviti yang releven bersama masyarakat merupakan komitmen yang amat membantu membina kepercayaan kukuh terhadap integriti organisasi, perniagaan dan penjenamaan. 

Memperkukuh Kredibiliti Perniagaan

Pemasaran sosial sudah menjadi sebahagian amalan kepada pelbagai organisasi dalam menyokong pembangunan masyarakat yang lebih prihatin. Ia juga berperanan dalam menyuntik nilai-nilai positif kepada orang ramai dalam menambahbaik aspek kehidupan sejagat.   

Peningkatan sektor perniagaan dan komersil dalam memperkasa pembangunan masyarakat melalui strategi pemasaran sosial juga telah melahirkan pelbagai aktiviti dan program-program berbentuk tanggungjawab sosial korporat ataupun keusahawanan sosial sebagai landasan yang membantu mengeratkan lagi hubungan diantara sektor komersil dengan masyarakat.

Justeru itu, melalui perlaksanaan etika pemasaran sosial yang terancang dapat mempertingkatkan lagi kredibiliti perniagaan sebagai sebuah organisasi mahupun jenama yang dipercayai sepenuhnya dihati masyarakat.
