KUALA LUMPUR, 27 November 2024 – Carlsberg Smooth Draught continues to redefine the way beer lovers indulge in smooth moments. From 21 to 23 November, the iconic beer brought over 4,000 enthusiasts to the Zhongshan Building, a cultural hotspot in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, for its annual ‘World of Smooth’ event.
This year’s festivities combined the perfect trio of Real Smooth beer, Real Spicy culinary experiences, and Real Beats, delivering a multisensory journey that captivated attendees and solidified Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s position as the go-to beer for effortlessly smooth occasions.
Raising the Bar for the Third Year
“‘Real Smooth’ is back for its third year, and we’ve raised the bar once again,” said Olga Pulyaeva, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia. “What began as an exclusive celebration of spicy food and smooth beer has grown into an event designed for all our consumers to enjoy. This year, we elevated it further with Real Smooth beer, Real Spicy bites, and the electrifying addition of Real Beats, making it bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever.”
The event showcased Carlsberg’s innovative approach to beer culture by collaborating with Loka Made, a local creative collective, to craft visually stunning and engaging experiences.

Attendees explored multiple interactive stations, including:
- Smooth Grooves Station: Where guests flaunted their best dance moves to win exclusive Carlsberg Smooth Draught x Loka Made laptop sleeves.
- ‘Smooth Moments’ Photo Booth: Offering personalized Carlsberg Smooth Draught bottles.
- Hops Hunting Adventure: The first 300 participants to collect all four hop stamps took home limited-edition tote bags.

Music enthusiasts were treated to electrifying performances from Hong Kong artists 24Herbs and MC Yan, as well as Malaysian talents like Lapsap, Mr. Yang, and DJ Jovynn. Beyond the beats, attendees joined workshops featuring cooking shows, cultural exhibitions, and mixology sessions at the CarlsBar, where cocktails inspired by iconic Hong Kong movies added a cinematic touch.
