DDB Group Hong Kong once again proved its creative and marketing prowess by dominating the 2024 Hong Kong Effie Awards. The agency took home an impressive six Effie awards for its successful McDonald’s campaigns, including the highly coveted Grand Effie—marking the second year in a row that they have won this prestigious accolade. DDB was also honored with the newly introduced “Most Effective Agency of the Year” award, further cementing its place as Hong Kong’s leading agency in terms of creative effectiveness.

Major Wins for McDonald’s Campaigns

DDB’s award-winning campaigns for McDonald’s—”McDiploma,” “Coffee Retirement,” and “McNuggets Art World”—were acknowledged not only for their creativity but also for their significant impact on McDonald’s business outcomes. These campaigns shaped customer perceptions, created valuable experiences, and even empowered McDonald’s employees through innovative concepts like “McDiploma.” The success of these campaigns demonstrates the power of creative execution in driving tangible business results.
