In the bustling streets of Seoul, a new kind of celebrity is emerging. Not bound by human limitations, these AI-powered virtual humans are taking South Korea by storm, reshaping the very fabric of its entertainment and corporate sectors. 

Key Highlights: 

  • Pulse9’s AI Revolution: South Korean AI company Pulse9 is pioneering the creation of lifelike digital humans, with potential market projections reaching a staggering $527 billion by 2030. 
  • Zaein – The Face of AI: Zaein, a virtual human, is making waves in the entertainment industry, from singing to news broadcasting, all while being a deepfake powered by real human actors. 
  • Beyond K-pop: While the K-pop industry was the initial catalyst, AI humans are now permeating various sectors, signaling a broader societal shift. 

The integration of AI humans in South Korea’s mainstream media is a testament to the nation’s technological prowess. Companies like Pulse9 are at the forefront, crafting digital personas that are almost indistinguishable from real humans. One such creation, Zaein, has become a household name.
