Adobe has announced Firefly, a new family of creative generative AI models that will make it easier and faster to create and change content across Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Adobe Express workflows.
Firefly will be the first in a series of new generative AI services from Adobe Sensei that will be available across all of Adobe’s clouds. It is meant to give creators, no matter how experienced or skilled they are, the superpowers to make content using their own words and imaginations from images, audio, vectors, videos, gradients, and creative ingredients like brushes, gradients, and video transformations. Without a strong imagination to drive it, technology’s potential cannot be realised to its fullest. Firefly demonstrates how creators of various experience and ability levels may produce stunning text effects and high-quality photos. Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Express will be the first programmes to benefit from Firefly integration.
Safe for Commercial Use
Firefly is made to make it easy to make changes to content quickly and easily while making sure it is safe for commercial use. It will consist of a variety of models that are created to work in a variety of use cases and to service clients with a wide range of technical backgrounds and skill sets. The first model from Adobe will concentrate on photos and text effects and was created to produce content that is suitable for commercial use. It was trained on Adobe Stock images, openly licensed content, and public domain content where the copyright has expired. Future Firefly models will make use of a range of resources, tools, and training information from companies like Adobe and others. Adobe will continue to give potential negative bias top priority as new models are adopted.

Generative AI: The Next Evolution of AI-Driven Creativity
David Wadhwani, President, Digital Media Business, Adobe, said, “Generative AI is the next evolution of AI-driven creativity and productivity, transforming the conversation between creator and computer into something more natural, intuitive, and powerful. With Firefly, Adobe will bring generative AI-powered ‘creative ingredients’ directly into customers’ workflows, increasing productivity and creative expression for all creators, from high-end creative professionals to the long tail of the creator economy.”
A Customer-Centric Approach
To help creators capitalise on their talents and ingenuity, Adobe is developing generative AI. Adobe is leveraging generative AI to ease the burden of content creation with solutions for working faster and with greater convenience. Adobe wants to develop generative AI in a similar way to how it has developed Adobe Stock and Behance, so that users may profit from their skills. After Firefly is out of testing, Adobe will reveal more information on the compensation scheme it is creating for Adobe Stock contributors.
Adobe created the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) to set an international standard for giving credit for digital content that can be trusted.
