Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific, the Title Partner of the ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup™ 2026, marked the tournament’s opening with a symbolic trophy procession during the opening ceremony. Following the official flag ceremony, a Hyundai PALISADE entered the stadium via the running track carrying the ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup™ 2026 Trophy, with ASEAN football legends Kouch Sokumpheak and Nuth Sony on board. Kouch Sokumpheak and Nuth Sony emerged from the vehicle carrying the trophy and presented it at the centre of the pitch, officially ushering in Southeast Asia’s premier football tournament.
The ceremonial moment highlighted Hyundai’s “Driving ASEAN as One” campaign, reflecting the brand’s commitment to connecting people across the region through football and mobility. Complementing the trophy procession, the opening ceremony featured special performances by Her Highness Princess Norodom Jenna of Cambodia and Sambath Sok, adding a vibrant cultural celebration to the tournament’s opening. As the tournament’s Title Partner, Hyundai transformed the arrival of the championship trophy into a memorable celebration of unity, passion, and anticipation ahead of kick-off.
