GreenRE Sdn Bhd and Qube Integrated Malaysia today signed a strategic agreement to jointly organise International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026, to be held from 10–11 September 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Signed by GreenRE Chairman Datuk Seri FD Iskandar and Qube Integrated Malaysia Executive Chairman Richard Teo, the agreement establishes ISW 2026 as a flagship
national platform with regional relevance. It is dedicated to accelerating the delivery and implementation of sustainability across the built environment and cities, while supporting knowledge exchange and collaboration across markets.
As sustainability becomes a core requirement rather than a policy aspiration, ISW 2026 focuses on implementation, performance measurement and industry readiness, anchored by recognised standards and certification.
A Platform Focused on Delivery
ISW 2026 is designed for stakeholders directly involved in planning, designing, building and operating the built environment, including policymakers, developers, builders, architects, engineers, planners, solution providers and city authorities.
The programme will feature speakers, participants and exhibitors from Malaysia, the region and international markets, reflecting the shared challenges and opportunities in sustainable urban development.
What sets ISW 2026 apart is that it brings together policy direction, technical expertise and solutions on a single, integrated platform.
Two Integrated Components
International Sustainability Week 2026 comprises two closely integrated components:
· International Green Build Conference (IGBC)
A strategic forum for policymakers, regulators, city authorities and industry professionals to address ESG requirements, policy alignment and the challenges of implementing green standards in buildings and urban developments.
· GreenScape: International Green Innovation Exhibition
A curated exhibition showcasing certified and certification-ready technologies, solutions and projects, highlighting industry capability and readiness to deliver sustainable outcomes in practice.
Together, IGBC and GreenScape connect conference dialogue with practical application, fostering industry engagement, partnership building and project development, while supporting cross-border collaboration in the transition towards a net-zero future.
From Certification to Transformation
ISW 2026 is guided by the theme “From Certification to Transformation: Building a Net Zero Future Together.”
The theme reflects the role of clear standards and certification in driving real change in how buildings and cities are planned, built and operated, in support of Malaysia’s net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
Datuk Seri FD Iskandar, Chairman of GreenRE Sdn Bhd, said:
“The future of sustainability is performance — measurable outcomes that can be benchmarked, verified, and repeated at scale. International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 is designed as a platform for knowledge sharing, high-level networking, and deal-enabling engagement—accelerating practical, investable sustainability outcomes for the built environment.
As Malaysia’s leading green building certification body, GreenRE is proud to co-organise ISW 2026. By convening policymakers, developers, financiers, and technology leaders, ISW creates a powerful forum where standards, innovation, and capital converge—turning sustainability commitments into implementation-ready projects that deliver long-term value, resilience, and regional impact.”
Richard Teo, Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia, said:
“There is strong commitment to sustainability across government and industry, but delivery remains the real challenge. International Sustainability Week is designed to bring the right people together to focus on how sustainability is implemented in practice — in buildings, developments and cities. As organiser, Qube’s role is to curate and deliver a structured platform that supports this shift from discussion to action.”
What Participants Can Expect
Participants at ISW 2026 can expect:
· Focused technical and policy discussions centred on implementation and performance
· Actionable ESG delivery insights aligned with local and global standards
· Showcases of deployable solutions ready for application
· Collaboration across the built environment value chain, from planning to operation
By bridging policy intent with execution on the ground, International Sustainability Week 2026 aims to support measurable progress in how buildings and cities are planned, built and managed.
